ECF GRADING LIST 2010
appeared on schedule this year, on 25th July, at http://grading.bcfservices.org.uk/index.php. The pre-season revision appeared the day before yesterday, with quite a lot of revised grades. This is the "definitive" revision which counts throughout the season for all SCCU (and ECF) Standardplay events.
The printed list survives, and will be shipping shortly. Price £23.50 from the ECF Office. It is a "print-on-demand" version, which we understand to mean they print copies as and when required instead of having unsold copies left on the shelf. It isn't expected to look much different from the old version. As usual we give a little set of figures which will be in the printed list, though it has never found its way into the online pages. Last year's version appears below it, and is identical apart from lacking a "2010" column. (So it is now redundant, but what the hell.)

The six years shown here are broadly comparable in that they represent the period since Junior Game Fee was introduced in September 2004. But note that grades 2005 - 2008 are Old Grades. New Grades were introduced in 2009.
3,970 Juniors have been active this year, playing 65,054 halfgames: Standardplay 26,258, Rapidplay: 38,796 or more than half of the total.

To be realistic it will be a while before the print run of 150 is exhausted. The printed list, as we've said before, exists on suffrance. Long may it survive. It cannot compete with the detail on the ECF website, but it does include one little set of figures which has never found its way there.
