OPEN
3 entries (3 last year)
No one's given up yet. Same entry as last year: Maidstone, Mushrooms and Wood Green. Same setup again. Single-round all-play-all, arranged so the team(s) deemed likeliest to win play the last match alongside the southern Finals.
Maidstone 4 2 Mushrooms played 26.2.12; Mushrooms 1 5 Wood Green played 13.5.12. Wood Green v Maidstone will take place alongside the London Finals on 8th July.

MINOR U120
6 entries (6 last year)
Note 6.11.11: Guy Greenland has taken over as Controller and is consulting the teams about the event format. Note 17.4.12: No news yet. (We'd given it up long ago.)
Note 24.4.12: It was THERE ALL ALONG, but keeping strangely quiet. We only found out when someone sent a match result to the Intermediate Controller by accident and he passed it on. (Thanks, Mike.) So we put our deerstalker on. We haven't got full details, but there are two sections, loosely South and Midlands, playing as all-play-all leagues. The two winners will meet in the Final. Note 27.4.12: the whole thing seems to have emerged now, with only one (meaningful) match to play in the qualifying groups.
Midlands (3 teams): Fenton Staffs 2 2 Syston; Fenton 2½ 1½ Bushbury; Syston v Bushbury playing in May but Fenton are already winners, at worst on tie-break, through their superior board-count score against Syston.
South (3 teams): Bishops Stortford 1½ 2½ Hackney played 22.4.12; Forest of Dean 2½ 1½ Bishops Stortford; Hackney lost to Forest of Dean 13.5.12. Well, Fenton think so. Their website expects a Final against Forest of Dean.
