ECF NATIONAL SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP: U19
2013-14

Sponsored by Winchester College

The national competition is once again split into four sections: U19, U19 Girls, U11, U11 Girls (see its dedicated website). We report the U19 results here for continuity. Because we always have, if you like. They will also appear on the Championships' dedicated site. The other sections will appear on the dedicated site only.
The U19 section has achieved a modest entry of 102 teams. The local Zones (details further down) concluded in February. For the Last Chance Saloon, see foot of page.

THE COMPETITION IS COMPLETED
The Zones led to a four-round Championship knockout for Zone winners, and a parallel Plate knockout for Zone runners-up. The season culminated in semi-finals and Finals at Uppingham School, our regular venue. For the first time in 26 years, in a competition dominated by independent schools, we have an English state school as National Champion. Reading School wrested the title from Manchester Grammar, holders for the last three years. Wilson's School won the Plate, completing a state-school double.
