SCCU JUNIOR MATCHES: U14/U90
2004-2005

Play is all moves in one hour (so Rapidplay, just). Qualifying grades are Rapidplay, or Standard if a player has no Rapid grade. Ungraded players are deemed under 90 unless there's reason to think them stronger.

There were, disappointingly, only eight entries (split into four double-round groups of two).

FINAL JAMBOREE
Sunday 18th September 2005
at Coulsdon
Grades are 2004. (2004 ages were used as well.) It was a close-run thing, with the result depending on the last game to finish. Kent needed to win, as the tie-break favoured Oxon, and did so with about 20 seconds to spare.

ZONAL RESULTS

How to read these results
Matches are in reverse chronological order, with the Zones jumbled up any old how.
Each match is double-round. In round 1 the pairings are as printed; in round 2 the away players swop places on boards 1-2, 3-4 etc. The scores by a player's name are always his. To find the name of his second-round opponent, adjust vertically.
Occasionally some boards will not fit into this format because a team has used different players in the two rounds. In this case a player's name may appear twice, and in both rounds his opponent is the person printed opposite him.
An asterisk by a county name means the result has come from that side.   Grades marked "s" are Standardplay: player has no Rapidplay grade.   Grades marked "*" are unpublished. (Managers don't always supply grades. This seems unfortunate, in a grading-limited competition, and it can make players hard to identify.)
