Kent - Venue 1
Our Lady of Crays, 312 High Street, St Mary Cray, Orpington BR5 4AR
The Hall is a good size and has plenty of ventilation. Refreshments (tea & coffee) will be available at the venue. The wearing of face coverings is encouraged, but not mandatory. However, if players leave their board they are asked to put on a mask. Players should leave the playing area once their game is complete. Captains will do all they can to match up players who both wish to play with a mask.
Kent - Venue 2
St Anselm’s Parish Centre, 89 West Hill, Dartford DA1 2HJ
The main entrance is actually in West Hill Drive. See Map
This will be used for the two Open team matches v Surrey (Saturday, 5 December 2021) and Kent v Sussex (Saturday, 12 March 2021). Because of the requirements of the venue matches will start at 12.15pm. The car park must be cleared by 4.30pm.
The time control will be 35 moves in 100 minutes, followed by the addition of 20 minutes for the game, with 10 seconds increments from the start. Face coverings will be optional at the board. Players are asked to wear a mask if they get up from their seat, particularly if they are looking at other games.
Travel by Public Transport:
There are regular trains to Dartford from London Charing Cross and if you’re coming in the other direction from mid-Kent.
Travel by Car:
The journey is straightforward (although those using the Blackwall Tunnel should prepare for heavy traffic). From the A2 take the Dartford turn off. At the roundabout take the turn off towards Dartford. Keep going straight ahead for about two miles, the road bends to the left and you’ll pass Dartford Grammar School (and the Mick Jagger Centre). You’ll come to a mini-roundabout, take the first turnoff on to West Hill then a sharp right on to West Hill Drive and the St Anselm’s car park is immediately on your left.
Make sure you go left at the mini-roundabout, otherwise you’ll be stuck in the one-way system and its permanent traffic jam!
Kent - Venue 3
St Thomas More Church Hall, 420A Long Lane, Bexleyheath DA7 5JW
This will be used for the Kent v Middlesex U1450 match on 5 February 2022.
The time control will be 35 moves in 100 minutes, followed by the addition of 20 minutes for the game, with 10 seconds increments from the start. Face coverings will be optional at the board. Matches start at 12.15pm. Players are asked to wear a mask if they get up from their seat, particularly if they are looking at other games.
For the reminder of the 2021-22 cycle Middlesex will be using two venues to host their matches.

It is not possible to use school car park and parking restrictions operate in Doyle Gardens on Saturday. Drivers are advised to use Uffington and Donnington Roads.
Players are advised to bring own refreshments as per COVID guidance but a limited selection will be available.
All players are expected to comply with COVID guidance with captains advising in advance if one of their players wishes to play an opponent with face mask
Middlesex - Venue 2

Travel by Public transport:
The venue is a short walk from Hammersmith tube station, however Ravenscourt station is virtually next to venue. Numerous buses also go Hammersmith bus station
Travel by car:
Hammersmith is easy to travel to as there are a number of major thoroughfares that go through it, A4; A219; A306 and A315. If driving please park on the Acton side of Glenthorne Road, e.g. Redmore Road or Studland Street, as many roads are free but do review the parking restrictions just in case you are not in a road with free parking! There is an NCP car park in Glenthore Road should individuals not find a space.
There are many eating establishments in Hammersmith and there are a few gastro pubs nearby.
It is possible for those seeking a meal to obtain one at the venue however attendees are advised that if you wish a hot meal (fish and chips) a minimum of 10 persons must order and it will be served between 1:30pm to 2pm (price tbc). Please notify your counterpart.
Sandwiches are made on demand (price tbc). Other refreshments are available - tea/coffee/cake/snacks all are charged at £1 each.
The MSC Management informs that food not purchased at the premises MUST be consumed outside.
